A stamp in tribute to Arnaud BELTRAME
On March 23, La Poste will issue a stamp bearing the effigy of Arnaud Beltrame, assassinated during the attacks on Trèbes and Carcassonne 5 years ago.
The A.P.N.C. and the Carcassonne Post Office have decided to make this publication, which will have its first day in Carcassonne, a highlight of their activities in 2023.
Although our organization is first and foremost a cultural association, its statutes, actions and practices are no less committed to the values of the Republic. The stamp is a medium for the duty of remembrance, and the issue in tribute to Arnaud Beltrame, which concerns a sensitive aspect of our region’s history, can be useful for remembrance, civic and educational activities.
Since September, when we first made contact with Eric Menassi, Mayor of Trèbes, we’ve been gradually building a global project around this show.
