Grands prix de l’Art Philatélique

The jury for the 72nd Grands Prix de l’Art Philatélique met at the CNEP offices in Paris on Monday 16 October 2023. François FARCIGNY, President of the jury, was surrounded by 20 members out of the 38 invited. The jury awards prizes for the most beautiful stamps in the various categories.
The Grand Prix de l’Art Philatélique for the French Overseas Territories, Territorial Communities and Andorra was awarded in the 2nd round with 8 votes to the TAAF seabed souvenir sheet created and engraved by Sarah Lazarevic.
The Grand Prix de l’Art Philatélique 2023 was awarded to French Polynesia, the show’s guest of honour , in the 1st round, with 27 points for the souvenir sheet 200 ans du tour du monde de La Coquille, designed and engraved by Sophie Beaujard.
The Grand Prix de l’Art Philatélique Français is divided into three categories: gummed sheet stamps in all printing techniques, gummed souvenir sheets and intaglio stamps.
- In the first category, the prize was awarded in the 1st round with 30 points to the Fine Art intaglio stamp ENLUMINEUR designed by Florence Gendre and engraved by Claude Jumelet.
- In the second category, the prize was awarded in the 2nd round with 15 points to the Notre Dame de Paris bumblebees designed and engraved by Sarah Bougault.
- In the third category, the prize was awarded in the 1st round with 15 points to les bourdons de Notre Dame de Paris designed and engraved by Sarah Bougault.
Theinformal prize for self-adhesive notebooks : in the1st round, with 16 points, it went to the Iconique Tour Eiffel notebook designed by Etienne Théry.
Lastly, the Citron Prize was not awarded this year, as it was not approved by the jury.
